It's looking like I could be in White Rock again from Thursday - Sunday of this week. Is VRC still going Saturday nights? if so I'd like to head over there and kill a few birds with the group. Also are there any other places that I might be able to get in some games, say Richmond pro or Surry badminton Centre? Ideally a doubles ladder or drop in using feather. Not intersted in Browngate. Tried there and it's a bit of pain in the ass to get from where I'm staying. For those who don't know me, I'm a competetive A level player, though I tend to play limited amount of singles.
Just so you don't think Vancouverites don't love their Calgarian cousins... You're welcomed to join me and my friend for a singles game on Thursday 8-9pm at ClearOne Leslie (behind Superstore). It's about 2 warehouses away from Browngate (which you said it's a pain in the ass to get to). Be warned that my friend and I are not at your level. We are average players. Probably low intermediate at best. Bring your rain-gear cuz it's Vancouver...and that's what we do.
Sorry, not Browngate - POCO - the one off in Coquiltlam is a pain the ass to get to. I'll see about getting away to Clear One for Thursday. I are a big ugly white dude who looks not like a badminton player. Okay maybe the Forza bag might make me a kinda player look alike.
I'll be the small chinese guy playing singles game with a white dude. We usually play on Court #8. Hope you have fun during your stay in the Lower Mainland (another word for Greater Vancouver Area which includes White Rock).
