A little tension calming relief during the interval
But our tournament stringer is still going strong...
We have to get good shots of the audience as well..
The stadium is more than 90% full in this expanded arena.
But this crowd is hard to please.

Notice how Wang Xin is not intimidated by her opponent. This sort of action we see more from the Danes. The umpire didn't see anything wrong
Just a few of the ladies doubles...well, can't have everything so exciting in one day.
OK, no dancing during this particular interlude but the volunteer medical staff get a note of appreciation

Sorry, missed out on the "very exciting" men's singles...:roll eyes:
Oh dear, forgot to take a picture of Lin Dan.
Chen Jin is obviously confused why team orders are not being followed...
On to men's doubles: eagerly anticipated by all. No 1 vs No 2 in the world.
Action is what we want - action is what we get!!
Jung giving all he has
Ohh, Lee Yong Dae...!!!
Line judge doesn't want to be left out of the action
The battle continues
Cai Yun plays a "fake" - a dropshot but it didn't win the point..
Wow, he does hit it hard
And breaks the string...he throws his racquet in disgust
Let's get a better look at the racquet - poor stringing job or mishit by the player?
It's broken in two places..
Pressured in defense - the play was so fast.
Jung is still going
And the Korean coach is really into it now
Near the end and Fu Hai Feng shows the tension
OK, we have an intermission here because I have more photos which I realized I just missed out on!!!!

End of 2nd game.
Change of clothes for the Koreans to the delight of some fans
Still going at a frentic pace
Fu Hai Feng shows us he's not all power with a steep half-strength smash
Cai Yun is unhappy with the service judge
And Fu Hai Feng has to get involved as well
It's just so tense out there
but this dive by Jung doesn't work out
Cai Yun and Fu Hai Feng level out the scores
And take the match....
Let's quickly switch to Fu Hai Feng
Some people are very happy
And Lee Yong Dae is very disappointed
The smiles continue
but no smiling in the interview....
Jung Jae Sung and Lee Yong Dae showing how polite they are even in defeat. They would have been the crowd favourites against any other non-chinese pair.
Krisna and Hauge, please note - Djarum girls have some competition as well

AChan, those are incredible shots. the timing for the expression are impeccible.
AChan actually went through a LOT of trouble getting us those photos. the flash card that held those shots was corrupted and she went through a few different methods to recover the files. at the end having to get it done by a store professionally.
so please be grateful that we get to enjoy the photos.
