Pls will someone direct me to the answer for the following questions regarding forehand serves in a double match.- low serve & high serve. Thank you
same rules that apply to backhand serve still applies to forehand serve, whether singles or doubles, low or high serve mainly, racket has to point in downward direction and struck below the waist http://www.worldbadminton.com/rules/#9
Yep, that's covered by 9.1.3. ...9.1.3 some part of both feet of the server and the receiver shall remain in contact with the surface of the court in a stationary position from the start of the service (Law 9.2) until the service is delivered (Law 9.3). ..... Note that it applies to BOTH the server and the receiver.
Just passing along knowledge that I gained from this great forum. . I have that badminton laws bookmarked on my iPhone in case I need it during games.
Very very slight dragging, may be lenient depending on the service judge. We go by the rules, but most of us are out there to ensure a fair game. We're not going to ruin it by faulting everything and ruining the match making it 21-0 due to service faults.
