hmn... Not sure is it appropriate for this kind of discussion. But, no doubt with this question that most of us keen to ask.. Will the world badminton fans have this eye luck to watch LD vs LCW in HK open semi final? Or it is another disappointing's answer/excuses given by LD for pulling out..
They already played the Hong Kong final this weekend .. And LD got 1,000,000 RMBs for that win.. Does he really care for the measly 116k RMB payout to win this Sunrise tournament??
I would not read too much in LD 3-setters. A win is still a win for LD and moves on. With OLY qualifying half-way now, I say LD and CHN team are pacing and peaking towards OLY12. In the 4-heavenly match and now in HKO, LD looks lean and fit and I predict LD and even CJ (who came through a 3-setter himself) would play hard from hereon, and CJ will qualify for OLY12.
+1 on this, during the 4 heavenly kings' match btwn lin & lcw, the commentator was saying mr lin needs a different approach to his games nowadays as age is catching up on him. he cant play like og2008 pace anymore, if not he will injured himself easily.
Tournaments by BWF are not attractive to LD anymore. Keeping his rank for London and adjusting his momentum for London, that's all. I hate his not-playing-with-even-little-risk attitude late, but he doesn't play badminton for fans. He doesn't make a life by winning tournaments (by winning world championships, Olympic gold medal, and even Asian Games gold medal though). I can understand he is not motivated at all. Only if BWF could make players rich by winning tournaments.
yeah which mean either lcw faking his age to be older than lin dan or lin dan faking his age to be younger than lcw with those age catching crap
I say LD will play LCW with all he can, not only in HKO SF but from here on. It is the halfway stage to OLY12, LD and the rest of the CHN team are gearing up and pace to peak for OLY12...time to get the act together. SF is gonna be serious.
I think the money offered in Mens singles apart from maybe Korean Open, is ridicilous!! the main problem i think is that each tournaments consists of five torunaments that needs to split the money.. but adding fivew tournaments into one event does not equal five times more income for tickets, tv, sponsor etc. etc.. /T
Dear Friends i wish Lin Dan should be brave enough to play LCW ...he win's or loose's its a diffent thing ( i hope he win's) but for the love & Passion of game thay both should make this match an intresting one to watch for Badminton Lovers Around The World.Let The Best Player Win & No Excuses should Be Accepted By IBF For This Match.
I think LD will play this time, he always play well in HK just like previous year. He needs to take up some Olympic points after losing lots of points with those dramas in Europe, I think he will play well here........ If, LD win, i think CL will lets CJ advance, ..........then, LD may give this title to CJ again to help CJ's Olympic qualification.....Poor CJ.......
I am excited for the show. If LD come out & withdraw like in SG open final vs CJ. I think he deserve a throw of shoe from the clou.Sorry for me to say this.
I agree haha LD should be giving the spectators the entertaining match that he always promises to deliver.
I dun understand the anti-Lin Dan sentiment with this post, why are there so many Lin Dan haters here? He is not afraid of anyone I dun think so.
well, at least this time the outcome of the Chinese player "make sense" make sense for the team, in which LD disposed of LCW, and then CJ was given the match by CL. this will potentially maximize the point for CJ for his struggle to be qualified in the Olympics. but not to say that this is the best outcome for badminton fans. but at least it, in some way, is explainable unlike previous win/loss by LD, which make no sense for the team nor for him. perhaps that's something that only LD can explain and it just makes him a bit more enigmatic.
Li Yongbo haters automatically become China haters which also translates to anti-LD. If you look properly, they are not only anti-LD, but anti-Chinese and also anti-walkover
