. 2011 Hong Kong Open SS: Round 2 Thursday 17-November Some South East Asian players are participating in the SEA Games this week, and therefore they won't be here in Hong Kong. Congratulations to those who have made it to Round 2. MD R16 Ingo Kindervater/Johannes Schoettler vs Hendra A. Gunawan/Alvent Yulianto Chandra [7] - too bad, I cannot cheer for the INA pair as the match is being arranged at night. Nevertheless, I think AG/Alvent should fulfill their seeding.
I think Tine is ripe for the taking [PAW ALERT]. Michelle Li is improving by leaps and bounds. Needs a bit more consistency but may be able to get away with it with the out-of-form Tine. The crowd must be waiting with baited breath for the rematch between LD and the LD Slayer WWK. I think LD is going to hit the turbo button and blow WWK away. No way he's going to let it happen again. On the KOR cutie front , Jung Kyung Eun has 2 matches. In WD her and Kim Ha Na play Matsuo/Naito. Will be a close but winnable match. In XD her and Kim Ki Jung will fall at the hands of ZN/ZYL. Cheung, hint, hint, paragraph 3 (please and thanks)
As I wrote in the other thread, Michelle Li has certainly impressed me! She will qualify for the Olympics.
Glad you got to see her with your own eyes. We watched the live streaming and fortunately she was on a featured court. Needs to get a little stronger physically as well, but on the right track
Tine was having few problems against Iris Wang yesterday. Later she got her act together. Certainly agree, that this is a chance for Michelle to get a big scalp under her belt. Oh, have to work today..sorry..
KO/Eom complete the formalities 21-17, 21-15 Up next Cheng Wen Hsing/Chien Yu Chin. Cheng to conduct a serving masterclass
Auntie JY doesn't have any offence at all. Trying to rally Saina to death. Backhand drive is wide. Saina 16-12
