    2011 Hong Kong Open SS: Finals Day on Sunday 20-November

    So we have arrived at Finals Day. It's great to find 2 countries, namely; Denmark and Korea, giving China some sort of a challenge here. Otherwise, many BCers not following the CHN team would have lost interest in this tournament already. :D:D:D

    Congratulations to those who have made it to Finals Day.

    For Live Streaming, perhaps BCers from different countries can post the links that are working for their regions. Different countries sometimes cannot use the same links. But many have found this link OK;

    Question:

    Would China be able to win all the titles in this 2011 Hong Kong Open SS?

    2011 Hong Kong Open SS: Finals Sun Nov, 20: Will LD walkover tomorrow?

    Although my memory is poor, I remember that LD ended all his recent tournaments with walkovers, or withdraws.

    Chen Jin desperately needs points for his Olympic qualification, but LD destroyed CJ's chance mercilessly at Japan open and French open. They're the only matches LD fought so desperately to win. Ironically, after winning over CJ at the quarter finals, LD withdrew immediately in the semi-finals against lower level players.

    LYB should do something about it since it's just no fun to behave like that. This time, will LD winovers again to continuously destroy CJ's hope? or LD walkovers again as he did at every single tournaments after the world championship? any predictions, friends? some of you have been unbelievably good at predicting.

    I think Lin Dan will either walkover either lose tomorrow's final.

    There are 5 finals today not only the MS. XD and MD are interesting too but based on post #1, it would be more fun predicting how (the reason) CJ won rather than whether he would win.

    May I predict : LD lost all his racquets (suspect, LYB the culprit) and he refuse to use any offered by CJ.

    When was the last time that CJ ever win over LD? Excluding walkovers of course.

    The organizers should have scheduled the WD and MS last so that everyone can have an early day or early night.

    How come all the predictions were so lopsided? I think the chance for LD's win:lose = 51%:49%. LD just beat CJ back to back in row, 3peat is quite possible.

    i think if CJ gets 5 point margin (i.e. 6-1) in 1st game, then that's an indication that LD is folding and handing this one to CJ for points.

    Only if there are WOs but if they scheduled like what I suggested, then I can plan my afternoon after the 3rd match. CHN vs CHN does not interest me a bit. Watching competitive local school tournament is much better than watching CJ vs LD.
