hi i heard that yonex have released a new yonex mp77 (see pic) i.e purple, silver, red racket. i know a shop that sells the new mp 77 but only in 3u version. i really like the old mp77 2u g3. my question is does the new mp 77 produce more power than the old version even though its lighter. does the new mp77 seem more heavier than normal 3u rackets and where is the balance point. i am thinking of chppsing thios racket over the mp 100 due to durability issues do u think that it is the right way to go.
The difference is minimal. Just because you're using another weight doesn't mean it'll have a great effect on your smashes, etc. That's what you'll have to develop. You'll also have to be patient as no one may reply to your post within minutes.
sorry for me being annoying but i would like to purchase this racket from www.badmintonchain.com in time for a tournament so i can get practice. i use to use the old mp77 nw it is lighter has any 1 tried the rackets themselves any loss or gain in power?
just buy it. you will get used to it after a while, no racket will give that much power improvement, all power comes from your arm and muscles and technique and not your racket. instead of spending the time and energy worrying so much about which racket you should be getting, you might as well spend the energy doing more drills and improve your technique.
I have a related question, are the colours for MP77 (and other MPs) the same for those everywhere in the world? I once went to a shop and saw two MP77s that look the different in terms of design and colour. Are there differences for those distributed to different regions? I didn't really go and take a good look at it but they are both MP77s and both look different.
