The gap between the two is getting wider

LCW can only beat LD once a year, proven

Yes, I believe LCW is on his way down. CL and LD will be his hurdles now. Sad case but this is the reality.

I guess he is not going to change or even get new advice. Bravo..

Congratulations to Lin Dan! He's done it again. Poor Lee Chong Wei, he must be going through a tough mind game at the moment.

LCW going down from his peak. Hopefully he knows the right time to go uphill again.

Lin Dan was sleeping in the first game. After he woke up, LCW had no answer to him. LD wasn't playing his best too, but he dominated LCW.

Ah wait, the most important thing.

    Congratulations to Lin Dan!

Lee CW,you're still one of my heroes, never give up. Who knows what might happen during the Olympics? Somebody else might be the dark horse to knock out the favourites and suddenly you emerge the leading contender. In soccer, they say the ball is round,we don't know which way it will round sometimes;in badminton, I would say the shuttle cork has wings,we are not 100% sure where it will fly.

besides... what's wrong to become #2 or #3 in life??? there's only ONE place for the #1, life won't doom just because one (any one!) can't earn it!!!

LD have to keep it up as well. It depends how how CL plays. LD wants to create history by winning 2 times. Provided CL allows him. So, there may be a tussle for being the greatest ever. Not sure if LYB will decide this. CL also could be the greatest to win 2 times if LD fails.

At this point in time, clearly Lin Dan is one notch above Lee,no longer evenly matched, but I won't rule out the latter making a stunning comeback - he's got it in him, as PG has shown that dogged determination and fighting spirit can do wonders, esp when they already have the talents. It's what is called mind over matter.

all this one notch above talk is pretty pointless really. if LD has an off-day (which often happens) LCW will more likely than not win. the gap is not that big. LCW is an incredible player and as cliched as it sounds, LD knows he has to play his absolute best to ensure the vicotry. The matches between these two invariably involve super long drawn out chess-like rallies - they are both brick walls and the number of times you think the point is over, then all of suddenly it's back to square one and a rally restarts!!!
