My previous racket tension is strung at 25lbs with bg 66.After using it for awhile i measure the bp its 290mm.After the string broke, i restring it with bg66 at 26lbs.I realized that the bp has dropped to 286mm. Does stringing a higher tension decreases the bp?Or maybe the string is lighter (which is weird)
If you string tighter with the same string there will be less of it in the racket, but the difference between 25 and 26 lbs is a case of centimeters (if that), which will have no effect that can be measured (and certainly not 4 mm!). Something else must have happened.
Hmm.. maybe i've measured wrong.. thanks for ur answer! I seen someone posted his bp dropped after his hand sweat a lot on the grip.. is that possible?
He must sweat like a horse (or measure his BP with a ruler every week) - IME it takes 3-4 mm of change before it's noticeable even to experienced players!
i personally dun think a change of 5mm in BP will change much...in performance of a player.... 5 millimetre is how small u know?
Yonex allows a 10 mm balance point margin for its rackets, so they consider that to be the point at which BP changes are felt. I don't.
