I consider myself an advanced player with almost 20 years of playing experience. In the past, I used the top of the line racket, but I was wondering if people has better racket suggestions for my level of play.

    Level: Advanced
Strengths: Has one of the most powerful smashes around (offensive)
    Weakness: stamina

I'm currently using Z-slash now, but don't really like it.

    Thanks in advanced.

    welcome!

    doubles i assume?

plastic or feather birds or both?

    price range, brand preference?

what aspect of your play do you hope to improve with your new acquisition?

yeah, z slash is spongy and hard to get used to because of smaller head

    Hi,
Yes, I wanted a racket for doubles. I play both plastic and feather, even though I like to play feather more, but most people I play with use plastic.

I don't have a limit on price; I owned Yonex all my life and I did hope of getting to know other good brands from this forum (ie. lining, apacs, victor, etc.).

I think I have explosive energy on offense, but my defense is lacking in some ways. I'd like to be a more all-around player rather than just being very strong in offense. I know that skills has a lot more to do with it than racket, but maybe someone in here has good experience with a racket that allows them to have powerful smashes while keeping defense strong as well.

I'd suggest the ones I'm using:for plastic: 3U MX70 or 4U VT80 ....... for feather: 4U MX80. ......Those would be the most balanced, being offensive while not compromising much on defense. IOW, powerful yet fast and maneuverable for all around play.

If your stamina is really that weak, i guess you should consider 4U Victor MX 80. If stamina not that weak, 3U Arc 7 might be suitable.

hmmm, since you have low stamina maybe you're better suited for a lighter and medium flex heavy head racket. then you can just focus on placement and smash when necessary.

try the VT7 or VT60 both only available in 4u or the Victor BS11 or BS09 or MX70

Maybe you should give Armortec 600 a shot as well.. it is a 4U racket which is considered quite light in weight, but its medium head heavy character gives the racket additional power for smashing

I might go for a Li-Ning N50I/II, balance point similar to the ArcSaber10. I was using my AS10 for 3 years until last week... it broke. For doubles, the AS10 actually isn't a bad choice given that it isn't leaning towards head heavy, with average stamina I wouldn't go for a head heavy racket. Other good choices would be either to buy another AS10, or AS8DX, or even the VT60. See if this chart helps if you're choosing YY rackets

Since you want it for doubles...I'd suggest going for the Victor MX80. It's a stiff + slightly head heavy racket. It's quick enough for doubles play and good smashing power.

well, reason i recommend head heavy is you like to smash. to help with your stamina i recommended to use medium flex and 4u racket. stiff rackets tires you out quickly.

you can opt for a light head one too but then it'll feel wrong, like your hand is faster than your racket and it'll really hurt your elbow if you cantget the timing right :p
