Guys, recently I had an intense coaching session and was doing quite a bit of heavy footwork all over the court. My yonex shoe, the part at the bottom, the mid section with the yonex name cracked and broke to pieces. Now I have a yonex shoe with a hole in the bottom. There is a lower layer of cloth covering that part of the shoe though. This is not a big problem is it?
U will feel uncomfortable with it. May i know what model & color of it? Ultima or SHB or World Champ edition?
Yonex Shoes Its this one. How is it possible for the logo at the bottom to get cracked to pieces is a mystery to me.. I dont see it happen to other players.. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004QVS9RU...e=asn&creative=395109&creativeASIN=B004QVS9RU
If bits of the shoe broke off during play then take it back for a replacement. The shoes were not fit for purpose and as long as you didn't take a chainsaw to them you should get a pair on warranty.
when did you buy it? if its pretty worn out i doubt that you can return it. Yonex's do not last long anyways 3-6 months while my asics lasts at least 7 months or longer
yonex shoes don't not last long ??? what series you bought ? World Champ series - 3 to 6 months Ultima series - around 9 months to 1 year SHB series - around 2 years
I bought my shoe on 19 Oct at USJ Supercourts. Now its Dec... not even 3 moths.. I guess Im one of the unlucky ones...
85EX, have possibly the worst build quality of any SHB shoe, I've seen tons of these crumble in a short period of time...
Take them back for a refund or get them to get yonex to give you a replacement. If the only place you wore the shoes was on court to play badminton, then the shoes were unfit for purpose. The longer you leave it the more likely it will be for yonex to say "usual wear and tear for this duration"
One of the reasons I usually avoid Yonex shoes. I do have a pair now which I bought because I forgot my badminton shoes when going for a session. They have lasted quite long. Very surprising. Don't ask me the model number though!
I compared Ultima vs SHB for this 85LTD (Red/Black). Ultima 85LTD front part is so soft & thin that the toe feel like knife pointing the flesh.(toe nail thrusting the thin layer of front shoe) As for WC series, the insole & cushion is so hard that our foot dont feel comfortable with it. Like wearing Flintstone made shoe. Remember my friend wear the WC 200, the front part open like crocodile mouth & the back 2 unta like shaped pointing your ankle wain. Ouch that's painful. For those who bought WC & Ultima, turn them to casual wear on street instead for use on court. But I admit the latest Ultima Pro SC5, Pro 92MX, 102LTD & MX (w 3 lateral claw & correct sole design as per SHB) has improved. Still haven't see any players wear SHB SC3.
I have this shoes ERM... unusual to see how that part of the shoe breaks, especially that it has the plastic thing there. I got mine in March during the All England 2011
Dont buy from Supercourt cos not only poor grade but also poor discount. Start boycott that shop. Buy at least Protech shoe at RM100 (1 year guarantee)
