Even Chine does not have that many elite players. The eight seeds pretty much represent the core of Chinese WS.

By the way, Wang Xin is fighting through the qualification for a place in the round of 32 at the final stage. The seeded player waiting at the round of 16 is none other than Han Li.

Wang Xin is a super dangerous floater. Poor Han Li must be cursing her luck.

Hmm...Han Li won the EAG WS gold yesterday in an apparently grueling, tight 79 mins three-setter over WSX and two days later, after a long 12-hr flight across time zones and overcoming the effects of jetlag, she has to face in R1 of the DEN PSS none other than the very physical player, Juliane Schenk; a very tough proposition, indeed. I mean even a fresh Han Li may not be a match for Soldier Schenk, what more a slightly jaded one - most likely a one-round trip for her, I'm afraid.

Anyway, hope she can prove me wrong. Han Li, way to go ! JiaYou !

Just wondering, do athletes take sleeping pill for jetlag? or is that prohibited?

For the sake of those who don't know Mandarin, I'd like to mention that the article described an amazing yet dramatic episode. In the decider after one game apiece, Han Li was 14-20 down, staring defeat in the face. But she didn't give up,wasn't discouraged, dug her heels in and calmly clawed her way back by winning the next 8 points to score a most gratifying triumph.

On the other hand, WSX sensing victory became impatient to convert that one point but, as she squandered one matchpoint after another, became nonplussed when it reached 20-all; she said at that moment her mind went blank and was completely at a loss what stroke to play;on the contrary, her opponent's face has sweetness written all over. Indeed a rare phenomenon for anybody to come back and win under such circumstances.

After the match, WSX frankly and largely attributed her sensational defeat to what's for her a tricky 'mentality problem'. For a maturing Han Li, she considers it as her career's 'proudest achievement' and will take it as a starting-point to strive higher.

Watched 2013 China Master QF between Han and Porntip. Despite Han's graceful form, that match was very difficult to watch/bear. I'm not sure if it was her mental, or her tactical acumen, she certainly didn't perform too well; lots of errors. Her footwork also seemed slow - stuck in her forehand corner for 1 second after her half smash, and late on returning Porntip's smashes.

Another miracle which is similar with the case of LD-LCW during the Malaysia open 2006 in kuching when LCW was trailing 13-20 and he caught back to win the set and the match 23-21
