I made a post about this last week but didn't get any reply in the hong kong open thread but it's still bugging me. http://www.youtube.com/user/bwf?blend=21&ob=5#p/l/0/PXmhQPi__io at the 46:47 mark, it shows a close up of his serve. I still don't see how the serve is a legal serve because to me, he clearly stops his forward motion on the serve. There is another closeup at the 55:00 mark where he does the same thing... the announcer even says it's a good serve but seriously, how is that legal?
You want to go to this thread: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/104259-Joaquim-Fischer-s-double-action-serve-illegal
Have you ever sit on service judge chair before? If you haven't, you can try to do it when your friends are playing, and try to record the video too. Later you can try to check if all your call are correct And yes, it should be illegal serve. But see-ing it without the slow motion, i also will let the play continue.
