Badminton Central iPhone/iPad/iTouch App
Just wondering if anyone thinks it would be possible and worthwhile to create an "app" for badmintoncentral ? I've seen other similar things created and just though badmintoncentral deserved an app as well.
Any ideas how to create and if it would be worthwhile ? Is there any interest in something like this ?
Let me know, I have Christmas holidays coming up so a lot of time if help is needed

Yes, how to create an apps actually? Any experts here?

Probably not worthwhile as the app will probably be just a quick link to the website. Same as having it saved as a favourite or bookmark on your web browser. It'd be fun to have I guess.

I have no idea how to programme them or anything.
I would like to see one as it is really difficult to navigate the website off my phone. The facebook app makes facebook better for my phone and I guess an BC app would make BC easier too. Alterations to layout and interaction with the menu key to have additional duties would be brilliant

there is already such a beast.
the only snag is that i need to pay $200 to buy the extension.
but it seems like it will be worthwhile to do?

Depends how well it works....
I agree an app like the one made for facebook, would just be fantastic, the facebook app made it so much easier to keep up to date, and post stuff.
Getting on to bc via Mobile (unless your using something like iPhone 4 or similar) takes ages and quite a bit of data. And when it tries to reformat itself into mobile version, it never allowed me to post...
Is there not a way to create a free app? Im sure I read it was possible...

well, the app is free for end users.
it is not free for the person who owns the website... ie. *me*....

i reckon we should contribute in some way, so you are not out of pocket
what sort of features does it have? Or is it just a link to the website? If it was like the facebook one, it would be excellent...

Specific apps? what for if this site is basically for forums only.. Maybe a mobile version of badmintoncentral is the one you are referring to. I ask my friend Ehrin Kelley a badmintoncentral fan, sports analyst and ipad case designer, and she responded me same thing.

For mobile forum browsing, there's Tapatalk 4, which is free.
