does it matter if your shoes are stored in a controlled temperature environment (ie indoors) or would it not matter if shoes are stored out on a porch. my shoes are stored on my porch, which changes temperature with the weather, and im curioous to know if thats bad for the shoes
Depends where you live. If it's damp at night, then your shoes are likely to get moldy inside. If there is bright sun in the day then the leather and rubber will age faster. And if you live in the desert, you got to worry about scorpions climbing in for a nap.
well i live in New England so i guess my worries would be over frozen shoes in winter and baked shoes in summer
i think like all things you should keep them in a more constant temperature. too hot and the glue peels off, too cold and direct sunlight makes the rubber becomes brittle, too damp it becomes moldy. best to keep in a cool and dry part of your house, away from rain or direct sunlight like a shoerack
I used to come back from badminton and put them out in the back garden because they stank! I'd collect them the next morning. Never caused them any damage, you don't have to be too careful unless it's extreme conditions.
