I need help from our experts here. My client have asked me to string his racket in such a way that he gets a larger sweet spot. Can any body give me some insight?
Tell him to use a squash racket. You can try stringing top-down and/or reducing tension for the shorter mains (going from, say, 23 to 20 in 0.25 lb decrements as you move out from the centre), but the sweet spot is pretty much nailed down for each racket.
does applying more sweet stuff such as sugar or honey onto your racket string create a bigger sweet spot? joking....
You could try to omit the second cross from the throat. Or by the same account, string one more. I really don't think you can make the sweet spot larger by stringing (frame shape makes more of a difference here), but as long as your client sees some visual difference, mission accomplished.
