    Happy Holidays Everybody!!!

I have a Holiday Xmas break (Dec 23rd - Jan 2nd) coming up. And there has been some interest in getting BC forum members for a Meet & Greet & Beatdown. :D (Sadly...I'll probably be the one receiving the beatdown ).

So this thread is to see if there are any interest from the GVA area (out of towners are also welcomed to participate) to put a face to the name and have some holiday fun/competitive/laying the smackdown (WWE reference...can you smeeellllll what the Rock...). This is not a free thing so expect to split the cost of court rental and bring a few tubes of shuttles (plastic/feathers).

If you are interested...please put your name and dates available. We should probably get this finalized quickly if this were to happen just in case the courts (whereever we decide to play and for how long...ie 3hrs) gets booked up. Should we limit this to only forum members or expand it to include 1 friend?

I guess date and time will depend on what the majority wants. So far the dates are shaping up to be either the 27th or 29th (or both if you guys want...but I'd probably only get permission for only 1 day ).

Looks like it will be on Tuesday December 27th.

    Now to decide...
    Wwhere we will play?
    What time?
    How many courts?
    Food afterwards?

    Suggestions please....

I think if we can get to 10 or 11 players, we could have a solid 2 courts/2 hours sessions. If Visor couldn't make it on Dec 27, we will have 8 players; may be we could have 2 courts on the first hour and 1 court for the second hour. Depends on how everyone feels, we could possible add the 2nd hour to the 2nd court. I know a few of us oldies simply might not last that long .

How about 8-10pm for court time; for the late nighter, snack and drink after?

Since I am the one bring up the idea, I will take care of booking the courts, likely C1 or RPro, any objections? Oh, someone please take care of birdies ..............

I think if it's in the evening, visor should be OK to play (assuming he's in town).

I'll be ok for the 27th too... just have to rejuggle some things. C1 and RichPro are great. 7-9 pm ok?

I'm OK with any time and place. Snack afterwoods is a good idea...No.9 at Lansdowne if at C1? Don't know the night scene well in Richmond.

I'll pick up some name tags for everybody :p.

If we play earlier 7-9pm, that'll give us more time for snacks and chat after.

C1 and RichPro are great, except avoid a few bad courts that are old or have poor visibility (like 1,2,11 at RichPro).

Distanc3 is bringing a friend as well, so we have 10 players now, I will book 2 courts for 2 hours sections. 7-9pm 1st choice if available.

Will report back after confirm of court booking...................... oh, where is Jasonvan???? ;)

Haha, I was at RichmondPro a moment ago and looked at the Dec 27th schedule. It was pretty full so I went ahead and booked 2 courts for 2 hours from 7-9pm.

I think we got courts 5 & 13 for hour 1 and courts 5 and 2 for hour 2. They said they would move us out of court 2 to a better court after they rejig the schedule. These were the only courts left.

Let me know if this works.

    Awesome madbad!

CD: you wanna check C1 to see if they have 2 good adjacent courts for 7-9 pm? Just in case.
