Hi guys, Can anyone let me know "Replacement grip + overgrip" or 2 * "overgrip" which may feel better while playing? I removed the original base grip by accident. And, with only 1 layer of overgrip on wood, I feel it's too thick. Thanks
If one overgrip on wood is too thick, then both your options will be too thick. I'll assume you meant thin? A replacement grip pulled tight can stretch more than you expect and give the handle a bit of spongyness that 2 overgrips wouldn't. Adding 1 overgrip to the tight replacement grip should be comfortable, I do it quite often when I haven't got any proper grips lying about.
most overgrips are 0.6mm though it ranges to 0.75 as well while replacement grips ranges from 1.8mm to 2.0mm. just check the description before you buy however, overgrips are easier to stretch so 3 overgrips could be thinner than 1 replacement grip
I've replaced 2 layers of Yonex overgrip on my rackets. However, when I hit the birdie, the racket vibrates much more than the original base grip + 1 overgrip. So, I sometimes cannot hold the racket very well Does 1 replacement + 1 overgrip help on vibration issue? Thanks
yup it does. but you could try the karakal X-shock grip. reduced vibrations in my racket before i switched rackets
