The 65th All Japan Badminton Championship will be held from 6 to 11 December 2011. All the top japanese players are playing in this tournament.

    These are some upsets:

    Kento Momota bt Jun Takemura 18-21, 21-16, 21-13 (R16)

    Sho Zeniya bt Kazushi Yamada 15-21, 21-17, 21-13 (R32)

Mayu Sekiya bt Misaki Matsutomo 21-19, 21-15 (R16)
    - I know this one can't be considered as an upset as Mayu is quite a good WS player and Misaki is now concentrating in WD instead of WS. But, this is just for the information of Misaki's fans. :D

Yu Hirayama bt Akane Kurihara 21-9, 21-15 (R16)
    - The senior showed her power to the junior.

Yui Hashimoto bt Sayaka Takahashi 21-15, 21-13 (R32)

Nozomi Okuhara bt Shizuka Uchida 22-20, 21-10 (R16)

    Mai Hattori/Yukari Jin
    bt Miri Ichimaru/Shino Tanaka 24-22, 19-21, 21-18 (R32)

I believe that either Mitani or Nozomi will win the Womens Singles title.

But I think Ai Goto has a chance to win this year. She performed very well lately compared to Eriko Hirose.

In the WS event, she lost to Mayu Sekiya in R16. In the WD event, she will be playing against Miyuki/Satoko today. Misaki/Ayaka have not lost a game so far. Miyuki/Satoko is the defending champion.

    Thanks for the link, Suetyan...

By using google, finally I can follow the results... If I understood the translation well, then the final stage are:

MS: Kenichi Tago - Sho Sasaki
WS: Eriko Hirose - Nozomi Okuhara
MD: Hirokatsu Hashimoto/Noriyasu Hirata - Hiroyuki Endo/Kenichi Hayakawa
WD: Mami Naito/Shizuka Matsuo - Misaki Matsutomo/Aya Takahashi
XD: Shintaro Ikeda/Reiko Shiota - (strange translation - Asahara Fields / Tao ??.. This pair won against Noriyasu Hirata/Miyuki Maeda in QF)

    :)
