Light Weight/Head Light Balance, slightly above Mid-flex, long size shaft. High Modulus Graphite & X-fullerene. Intermediate range racquet. Available in 4UG5 and G6. Recommended tension 19-24 lbs. White/Blue/Green/Aquamarine colour scheme.
Tried the 20/80/fx/rp at today's session Though the 20/80 are of lower grade than the fx/rp,but it's still pretty fast a racket Still waiting for the arrival of my 500
woah, 4u G5 or G6 grips only ? haha, it looks like the VT60 and even has the same choices as the VT60 maybe their targeted for the intermediate females?
Just strung one up (@22x24lb BG65 main and BG68ti cross) on Friday night and tried it out on Sun. Damn, this racquet is fast. I original thought it is a replacement for NS7700. No, it is a far improved NS7000. Lighter and super control. On top of that, return smash was so easy that the other player got tired smashing. The racquet is so fast that everyone tried it either complete miss the shuttle that racquet passed before the shuttle got there or hitting the top of the string bed Still lacks a little power on the smash.
Can't really rate them yet as I haven got my nano ray 500 from the stringer once I have them will play for a session and update
well let us know what you think of the whole series Its not even christmas. I am already thinking of getting my next racket..... current wish list is a MX70 (4u), nanoray 700fx (3u).....................
I can give a feedback on the 700fx...It is fast, good for defense play, however lacks the oomph in the offensive part. Maybe it's due to the flexible shaft, however comparing with the rest of the flexible shaft from other brands it's still quite stiff(yonex don't really make shafts that are that flexible). Comparing it with armotec800 defense,it's still not that powerful as compared to it. Maybe I am comparing with a different series all together, but then both are still defensive rackets. But if I were to compare it with Zelm power play, the fx is not as fast as the Zelm. But one thing about these 3 rackets are that they don't have the power when it comes to offense, but for defense they are great! Will update more.
yonex has an empty hole where head heavy repulsive rackets hardly exists. you can try the armotec900T but its too heavy head and not repulsive enough. Maybe Muscle Power 99? there is an Isometric racket up there call ISO-TIS (SX) but i have no idea how it actually plays i can only think of lining rackets, maybe N55-i/-ii but doesnt feel the same.
I want to know the same thing. My local shop doesn't carry the 500, but they do have the 700. I swung an unstrung 700FX and it felt pretty good. I also swung the RP, but didn't care for it. I guess I prefer a more flexible racquet. Looking at the online 2012 Yonex catalog, that chart where they show where the various racquets rank on the head heavy/head light, "hold", and repulsion scale, it looks like the NR500 is a little more headlight than the 700 series, so I'm thinking it will be a little faster, which is what I want. I'm not so sure I trust that chart, though! I'd like to hear from somebody that has played with them both. I'm leaning towards the 500NR (as soon my NS9900 sells), but feel like I'm gambling, not being able to handle it, before ordering it. I'd hate for it to end up feeling slower than the 700FX.
