Not sure if I did exactly what you wanted. Anyway, I placed the tip of the head. Basically the complete head of rim with no string part showing on the balance. On the other end I rested just the the butt end on some playing cards. And I level it the best I could by judging the shaft against my glass table.

my digital balance works at 0.1g jumps upto 2000g

    wilson k-lite - 675mm, 88.9g, 303mm (vs 850 + rkep g09 black at 10% overlap)
    sotx woven 8a - 670mm, 93.1g, 292mm (nbg95 + rkep g09 purple at 10% overlap)
    victor superwave 37 (4u) - 675mm, 92.9g, 290mm (nbg98 + rkep g09 purple at 10% overlap)

    Measured weight.
    wilson k-lite - 39.6g
    sotx woven 8a - 40.4g
    victor superwave 37 (4u) - 39.7g

forgot to add, the wilson klite feels the heaviest to me when just free swinging the racket.

the woven 8a and sw37 feels very similar in weight but sw37 is faster.

Awesome, thanx! That's what I was looking for. Exactly the same method too!
I didn't think you saw my OT post in the other thread. :)

The following are some data points I've accumulated on my rackets.

NB: All rackets wet wt, bp, and head wt measured with rkep g09 white (the lightest colour).

    Racket.**** Dry. ****Wet.**** BP. *****Head.
    T2a. ******84.7g ***94.5g ***291mm* *40.5g (zm67)
    T2b. * * * *83.9g ***93.7g ***291mm **39.8g (zm67) ** * * * * * *
    TPro. * *** 86.0g ***95.9g ***295mm **42.1g (zm67) ** * * * * * *
    MX80. **** 85.1g ** 95.1g ***293mm **41.3g (vs850) *(head wt 38.6g unstrung) ** * * * * * ** * * * * * **
    MX70. **** 87.1g ** 97.1g ***295mm **42.3g (vs850) ** * * * * *
    VT80. *** *82.9g ***94.1g ***302mm **42.4g (vs850)

also, my strings are usually around 3.2g and my overgrip is around 4.3g. So if you subtract 7.5g from my wet weights. It should be pretty close to the original dry weight of my rackets.

    mmmmm from your measurements.

I guess the T2 and a 4u version of mx70 may be good options for me to try one day.

I had a 3u head heavy racket before. I just did not like the way it swings so I've lent it to a friend who likes heavy head.
    rsl m11 heat 600 - 675mm, 95.4g, 301mm

shame that we don't have an easy way to measure a rackets swing weight.

There is one if you have an iDevice:
    SwingTool for only $1
    http://appmaker.se/?m=6&s=1

But I haven't gotten it yet, as I haven't figured out how to mount the racket handle to allow the racket to swing freely.

Yeah, I know I don't like the head too heavy as I mostly play doubles. My mx80 with about 41.3g head wt is just about perfect for my purposes. For the occasional singles, I use the 4U vt80 with head wt of 42.4g for easy power for clears and smashes.

And in between, I have the mx70 which is 42.3g, but it swings faster than the vt80 due to better aerodynamic shape and also more evenly distributed wt around the frame.

    Adding a

    Victor SW30 (4U): 85.3g, 41.1g head, 95.1g, bp 292mm (similarly strung and gripped)

One of these days I'm gonna get that SwingTool app!....once I figure out how to hang it so that it can swing freely.

btw, which is stiffer between the sw30 and rkep?

because when I just bent the racket sw37 and mx60, it feels about the same. However, when playing even though the mx60 is far more head heavy. The mx60 feels stiffer. Maybe it was for the best I ended up with a mx60 and not mx70.
