Has anyone used the babolat Vs Touch String. It is a natural gut? Can anyone explain the performance difference between natural and synthetic gut?

here is a article on natural gut strings in tennis.
    http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/lc/Naturalgut.html

Basically, in tennis terms. Decent natural gut strings remains playable until it is breaks. While man made fibers will feel "dead" (less elastic) after awhile.

This could explain why some of the people on this forum likes to cut their strings and change to fresh strings every so often.

If that's true why do the pros use synthetic strings?

a lot of professional tennis players still use hybird string (poly + natural gut) or just natural gut.

However, since they have their rackets restung before each match, I don't think it makes that much difference between natural gut and poly in terms of playability unless of course they like like the feel of natural gut better.

Novak Djokovic Head YouTek IG Speed Pro 18×20
Head Natural Gut/Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power Rough 55/52lbs

Roger Federer Wilson Six.One Tour BLX
Wilson Natural Gut/Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power Rough 48.5/44lbs

Rafael Nadal Babolat AeroPro Drive GT
    Babolat RPM Blast 55lbs

As for in badminton terms. Well I think for most professional and hard hitters on this site. The nylon or poly string would have long snap before feeling dead or affecting their playability.

Personally, I have never used natural gut in tennis or badminton

Synthetic gut doesn't fray like natural gut does.
It has a smoother coating and although very similar natural guy can fray a little bit, whether they care about that for adding extra grip on the ball. Might just feel better.

Badminton did have some natural gut and I think there was 2 people on this forum that did a hybrid with some of the natural gut. Can't remember the result.
