My local dealer told me that Yonex MP100 only has warrenty on the handle and the pole (not including the frame), so i was wondering if this is true? I'm in US.
that doesn't sound like yonex warranty...... from I have heard, it should include the frame , too. (otherwise, why do you need the warranty?)
Of course it's rubbish; haven't you heard of trading standards? When a company sell a product, which has an inherent flaw, it is is legally obliged to replace or refund the product. The only problem with badminton racquets is proving that the fracture was a manufacturing defect. My experience of Yonex is that they give you the benefit of the doubt (particularly if it is a new racquet), however, you first have to convince the stockist. It sounds like your stockist is going to be a pain in the ass, so to speak. If he is unwilling to send it back for replacement, contact Yonex directly. They have customer service lines in US (dialing code + 800-44-YONEX), Canada (403 243-0930), UK (020 87429777) and I think this is the head office in Tokyo (03-3836-1221). Hope this was helpful.
I think Yonex "manufacture defect" should include everything. I've heard more than 1 ppl got replacement racket when they had problems with frames. Better contact Yonex US directly to find the true answer.
Just checking; I don't want to be giving advice when we're talking about two different things . How did you get on with the Yonex dealer anyway, AZN?
