So how much do the best guys in our sport get paid?

Of course LD has big deals with Li-Ning, Red-Bull and various companies for endorisng their producs and doing commersials etc. LDs income is about 2 million USD annually. Which of course is good money for a player who is non-independent in China, but compared to fantasy figures in "western" sports it is peanuts :-(

If we look at prizemoney he got 384.050 USD form international tournaments lat year. Lee Chong wei got 296.951 according to same calculations.

I think prizemoney is slowly going in the rigt direction.. but for athletes to really get more money I think the current torunament system has to change with a total torunament prize-sum divided into 5 different disciplines.. leaving only a small 8% to the MS winner of each tournament.

Anyway.. below is a list of the earinging of the biggest international events. I also inkluded the four Kings event, as it was a huge monetary incentive and both Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei was eligable.
