So the initial shuttle speed was 415/414 kmph and the shuttle that was hit by the VT 80 arrived at 88 kmph whereas the one that was hit by the VT ZF arrived at 120 kmph? Or do these numbers refer to the actual racket swing speed ( I doubt it because that would be insanely fast)?

Yes, I assume shuttle speed. Thought it was so obvious I didn't even check if the text said so but iirc they have tried to improve that final speed before (with VT80? Or was it angle or something then). Read it on badmintonrepublic but I don't think that is the original source as it seemed in the past like more of a newsgathering website, easy enough to google for the posting (actually the post I read was this one in the link rather than what I copy-paste below http://www.badmintonrepublic.com/php...f1dc739#p72900).

    初速(KM/H)
    VT80: 415 VT-ZF: 414

    终速(KM/H)
    VT80: 88 VT-ZF: 120

This below hardly looks official so I'll assume whomever was at the Yonex fair or wherever remembered that will be the position on the chart or expects it to be based on personal experience.

Seriously someone needs to infiltrate AT700.com, they always have the scoops/leaks and nowadays burried by viewing requirements.

Some important points, via Google translate of above:

Thinner shaft from nanopreme golf shaft technology.

Smaller racket face, in between VT80 and Arc ZS.

Faster final shuttle speed at 6m: 120 vs 88 km/h, despite being same initial speed.

    Feels head heavier than VT80.

So it's even more head heavier than VT80?? I don't think that it will sell well since majority of people seem to complain that the VT80 is too head heavy to begin with. So it'll primarily be a racket for singles.

Meh...I'll still get it (rumoured purple LTD version)

Seems the "rumoured" purple LTD was already on display and the person who attended felt the original looks better, which is indeed the one LCW is already playing with judging by it being described as having a bit of a Ti-10 gen 1 look ...
Probably the green and purple are the like for the NS9900, only highlights in the VT-ZF's paintscheme eventhough those two's list colours are "green" and "purple" and the VT-ZF "bright green" (but of course might very well be more VT80LTD like).

Edit: argh! I mean hitting a shuttle at a speed more than 421KM/H

    Hehe I don't think it's terminal velocity will top 421 no ...

As for the smashes, surely at some point the shuttle should be acting as the limiting factor(?).

If it is really true that the Z-Force should be even head heavier than Vt80... only a very few folks would be able to use it in doubles and mixed. I as an double and mixed double player am a little bit disappointed.

Wait till verified specs are out... or is the picture verified?

Riddle solved. 19 kgs signifies the swing weight required to make a nice big pancake of the nose of the guy who thought up this campaign for Yonex...

I doubt that the chart was verified given that the vtzf wasn't colour coded and the 2012 chart is on another thread on the forum.

huh, sometime i understand the YY chart, and sometime i don't. if this racket build for smash, vt-zf should position at left side of vt80 right?

This is what makes YY's marketing people pompous and proud, everyone of us at least has an interest and anticipation, be it plain chit chat or readying our wallet (gimmick or otherwise). That's a well oiled mean, marketing machine right there.

    VT80: 415 vs VT-ZF: 414 and ended at VT80: 88kmph vs VT-ZF: 120kmph

Could be because it will be more headheavy according to the same source
I'm suspicious of this data. Granted I don't know exactly what they are measuring but, if these 414 and 415 speeds are the shuttle speed as its left the racquet then I'm not sure the physics allows for a much faster (36%!! more) velocity at the 'end' (technically the end speed for both should be zero). Either the initial velocity is a faulty measurement (the racquet head is still in contact with the shuttle at the point of initial measurement. Or, the shuttle has been deformed by the VT-ZF.

So maybe what they've invented is a shuttle destruction machine that will tear through cheap shuttles at a rate of 2 dozen a game. If so I'm buying one, it will be great with possibly forcing the people I play with to stop using those crappy shuttles.

By the way, the marketing campaign is stupid. And, if the 19kg really refers to what the frame can withstand before deforming then only way I can really respond is with a giant YAWN and a 'who gives a siht'.

You're wrong. Your point is based on a nonrepresentative sample... us. We are by the fact that we are members of this forum an enthusiast community. Interest was sparked here the minute it was realized LCW was playing with something other than the VT-80. The other 90% of my club members have no idea this thing is coming out soon.
