I used to play with a racket that was flexible and head light a couple of years ago. Should I have kept using those specs?? My preference have change to stiff and head heavy rackets. I would not have known unless I took a chance and tried a stiff head heavy racket. And right now...I'm looking for something better than the VT80.

I guess you don't upgrade your computer at all since you like to stick to specs you had 2-3 years ago .

You guessed right, I suppose that makes me a marketing department's nightmare.
As for rackets, I'm still using the AT700, even after testing the VT80, which felt like a sluggish AT700. Good luck on your upgrade. Hope it's exactly what you think it might be.

I can't believe this thing has a BP of 317. Which is a pity, because the graphics are sensational.

not sure if that includes the plastic wrap on the handle. If it does, then dry balance point would be 315+

does a single plastic wrap on the grip hold that much?? if it does, maybe someone could help me showing the result of weighing a single plastic wrap?? i'm just curious, because i can't even imagining a single plastic wrap could do that much to distorting a racket dry weight nor balance point. thx in advance

Dry balance point would mean after the complete removal of the stock grip the grip tape from the handle (so bare wood).

The plastic wrap itself weighs about less than 0.5 grams so it should not change the balance point by that much.

well my double wrap plastic on my victor mx60 weights around 2.4g. so I am assuming yy plastic must weight at least 1g

and from previous experiment. 1g extra in overgrip change the bp by around 5-7mm for rackets in the 3u range.

the reason why I am assuming it might include the plastic wrap because quite a number of people on this forum don;t remove the plastic wrap. ANd as you can see from his photos, the rackets still have their plastic wraps.

dry weight should include stock grip weight but no plastic wrap. I think thats how manufacturer weigh it to determine if the racket is 3u or 4u

dry / gross = WITHOUT string or overgrip.
wet / net = WITH string and atypical overgrip.

just that some people keep their plastic wrap on and then put their overgrip over the plastic wrap.

guess you are like me. we both remove the plastic wrap.

don't worry, removing the plastic wrap is the normal thing to do...

now those people who keep the plastic wrap on probably also still has plastic wrap on their lamp shades, sofas, TV remote controls, etc.

    lol!

You know, this racket is pretty good looking, and I haven't bought a Yonex since the Z-Slash which I tried super hard to like because it was so flurescent......

Reckon I could still sell it for 200 bucks a week later when I hate it?
