I remember someone mentioned that since vtzf is a stiff racket, it's better to use a 'softer' feeling strings to compensate the stiffness, and from my experience of using zm65, i remember it being quite a stiff/hard string. But each to his own.

Imop, it's best that the strings underline the qualities of the racket - so a stiffer racket should be played with crisp strings, as it's a strength of the racket. If you can't cope with the racket's stiffness, you shouldn't try to compensate by using soft string, but get a different racket. Also, the ZM65 is really manageable in the 24-26 range and not hard on the arm. Above that, it CAN be a little hard.

Agreed with you on that, crisp string with stiff rackets can give you quite a lively/repulsive racket. But some would believe that racket strength can come from the stiff head/shaft, provided that you have a whippy shaft, a higher tension or harder strings would certainly helps. Flexy shaft with soft string feels numb to me, and to be able to feel allows you to know that you've transferred your power well to the shuttle (again personal preference or placebo effect for me)

I've been using vt80ltd with zm65 at 30lbs before i make the transition to vtzf, and the harder/higher tension certainly helps to make the vt80 feel livelier rather than just a dull whippy hammer

Are KKK and TBH using VTZF as well? Are they using 3U or 4U? Who else are using VTZF?
