During a match How do play serve ?
When I play with my friends in Singles I usually play If I serve first then if the person wins or loses they serve then during the third game I serve again.
However my friend thinks that If he serves first then he wins the game he serves again.
    Who is correct ?

During a proper match there is a coin toss or something similar to see who to serves first. Whoever wins that first game gets to serve first in the second game. Whoever wins the second game gets to serve first in the third game.

When I am just playing with friends it's whoever is nearest to the shuttle who serves first :p

That makes it much clearer but I still haven't heard about it during the tournaments.
I'll be playing like this when I play next.

during proper tournament, flip a coin.
during normal club play or club tournament, we either spin a racquet and the opposing team call up/down, and if the icon/logo on the handle is up/down whoever's right get's to choose court side or serve and the other team choose the other.

I wouldn't want to spin a racquet, it'd chip the paint! At least it would on the surface in our local courts. We would usually hit the shuttle up in the air and whichever side the cork is pointing to serves first.

that's an interesting way to look at it.

usually we look at it as whoever won the previous game gets to serve the first point of the next game. which is equivalent to what you said because whoever won the last point is the person who won the last game!
