Of course, when it is the "low season" and business has yet to pick up, the Djarum Girls would congregate as groups to do their thing ...... as in what girls normally do as a group.

These are the typical jobs assigned to the Djarum Girls:
These Djarum Girls are assigned to manage the virtual badminton booth .......
while these go and manage the scoreboard screens .......
and finally, these are the ones managing the fixing of support ribbons to the crowd

Just Like In Any Company .....
...... there are some, err, deadweight Djarum Girls. Beautiful, no doubt, but beautiful deadweights nonetheless. They tend to do nothing but:
...... eat ......
..... fixing their hairdos .....
.....sitting down idly .........
....or just standing up blankly

And Finally ......
..... there is the warrior type Djarum Girl. Yup, the ones that are strong willed enough to, ahem, tarnish their beauty by applying face paint. Given the right lighting conditions, they can look fierce, beautifully fierce, that is.
The application of some war paint .......
..... creates a pretty fierce image. Yup, pretty and fierce.

Kudos to Djarum for Another Exceptional Event ......
Maybank money spent alone cannot not make the Malaysian Open, or any Open whatsoever, to be of at least half the standard of the Djarum Indonesia Open.
Just look at Korea - big prize money, and practically nothing else. Except the biting minus-zero weather ......
The effort that goes into the planning and execution of the Djarum Indonesia Open required huge commitment and significant attention to details. Which, given the culture of how other countries market and plan their badminton events - is impossible for them to follow Djarum's blueprint.
Very few events seriously do painstaking work, year after year, to gather feedback on how their tournament planning and execution could be improved. Djarum goes the extra mile with yearly surveys conducted with players, officials and the public on what they wish to improve for the following tournaments ...... and then, actually improve on what was requested to a standard beyond what was expected.
The result : The Istora is an old venue - but it easily shades newer and bigger venues in terms of showmanship and excitement from the time you enter the gates until you are in the seats. It is indeed the Mecca of badminton. Every year, people are enthralled by the improvements made - not to mention that this year, there were lots more Djarum Girls ..... an essential component, wakakakakaka.
Djarum Events will remain the Gold, nay, Diamond standard of how a badminton event should be promoted, planned, and executed.

Haha..big money...big sponsor does not guarantee good event organization. All England needs no promotion because it is the oldest badminton tournament..like the wimbledon of badminton. China SS Premier...well people there are passionate about badminton but depends on which province you have it. Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Liaoning, Hunan will attract crowd.
Malaysia on the other hand, there is live telecast and ticket prizes are not cheap and crowd not attracted to come to watch.

Great photos, Abedeng... Again you did not tell us that you're in town... Aiyaaa, hahaha...

In 2014 INA Open onwards, you might have to target blibli.com girls...
The organizers will design sexy outfits for them too...

Ha, that makes u the 2nd person after Hauge ..... yup, we got thru a very long teleconversation during the Singapore Open weekend. Just goes to show that I am still good at this stalking-and-leaving-no-trace business .......
Anyway, great job as always, Krisna!! Djarum had overdone itself ..... several times over if I might say so myself.
But "firing" on blibli girls? Long way to go yet to match the legend of the businesss. Tradition cannot be made in a couple of years, you know. Those blue "stewardesses" need more, ahem, divine inspiration and, err, be more "revealing" on the "catwalk".
