    Hallo,

I plan to buy my sister a racquet as a present when I visit her in Malaysia. The intent is to let her choose what she wants, but I have never done badminton shopping in Malaysia before so am looking for information (so I'm not shopping blindly).

Main things I want to find out are:
    - The budget I have set is about RM350, roughly equivalent to the £60-70 a good quality racquet costs in the UK. Could you give a rough idea what such a sum could buy in Malaysia? Doesn't have to be a big brand like YY.
    - Any recommendations of good shops in the KL/Klang Valley area, both for products and stringing?

    Thanks a lot.

Try Sports Direct at One Utama which is a retail outlet where one from UK would be familiar with. The have a pretty wide range of racquets on sale there.

bit hard to choose from the info you gave us, but a real good option would be to get her a Victor SW37.

Its rm350 from discounted retailer like KD sports and get the 4u as its friendlier to girls, powerful enough for singles, balanced enough for doubles.

the only question is whether its in stock! :p

As mentioned before, I don't know her playing style well so I don't want to push her towards a specific racquet model.

My questions were more to get an idea of the model ranges one could buy in Malaysia for that kind of money, and also to find good reputable shops to deal with.

my recommendation are very neutral, ask for a balanced and medium flex racket only gender specific by choosing the 4u weight segment (81-85g range).

try victor SW37 or a cheaper SW310 which my wife uses and loves it. also you could try the NS990 (not 9900). there are a lot of APACS in malaysia which are cheap and decent like the nano power 900. there's also lining TP100B (ask for W2 for weight).

here are some of the more reputable shops that give 25-30% discounts in malaysia
