Well, the Title kind of says it all.
Some People say that using bg80@23lbs is kind of a waste
So ive read, in the previous forums.

But now i look back, what would be the ideal string then?
    -------------------------experience---------------------------------
I have a bg80@23lbs, and the clears are ridiculous.
-clears? It goes out, way too far ~ ( not necessary a bad thing )
    - net shots? they were clean and really close to the net at first, but not anymore.
I dont know if its me improving or degrading at the same time.

At first, when i used BG80, honestly it didnt go far.
Afterwards, after making the strings getting used to the racket and stretching...
( thats what they say )
It just went too far, the shuttle. I dont see much difference in smash though.
    I dont know why.

    ---------------------- What string... to pick----------------------
Just Got a new racket ; Victor Artery 95 ti( Stiff Slight head heavy, idk if that helps ). Strings; VS-31? or something.

Cant find a review on the strings, link to me if possible. thanks!

I dont know what type of string to restring it.

    Suggestions would be nice
    Please, NO low durability strings.
It could be slippery, after any of you explain what it means.
I mean, when you hit the shuttle, does it just slide off the racket and fall on the floor, instead of bouncing off? I dont get it.

Ideal string tension For me, would be 20-23lbs.

    ---------------- Summary/Questions -----------------
What string do you recommend at 20-23lbs? WITHOUT low durability and that has enough "power"

Should i go for higher string tension? i mean, i hit an 1/10 extra out of the court every time with the bg80 i have on the old racket.

    ---------------------------------------------------------
PS; i only get to pick Yonex strings, sadly.
but you could still name out the other ones for the others with the same questions.

Judging from what you have described, I would recommend BG65 at 24lbs.

This should give pretty adequate power (so you don't hit long with clears) and due to the slightly lower immediate string repulsion (BG65 is thicker at 0.70mm), you should be able to get good control on net shots.

BG65 at 24lbs should not feel any harder to play than BG80 at 23lbs.

I would recommend thin strings such as Zymax62, R4X100, BG66UM, BG66M, BG85, VS850. Do take note that your feel even on the same string and tension will not be the same on different rackets as each racket has its own specs and it all depends on your adaptability and timing. Technique plays a part too.

These strings are not durable but why i recommend these strings is because at 20-23LB, they are surely as durable if not more than strings like BG66 at 26LB, BG65 at 32LB or NBG98 at 30LB for eg. People have been saying Zymax62 snaps in a few hours but i can use it for 6 months at a low tension of 22-23LB. And at this tension, it performs as well as a BG66 at 25+LB perhaps? The stringer and his technique plays a part too. Some people uses awl too often, or clamp too hard or improperly, or badly adjusted string gripper etc etc.

Zymax 70 will hit shuttles through a wall at low tension:).

Hm, ive looked around a little more.

So i've read, they claim that any string will be fine, in terms of durability, if put at low tension?
But then, after reading on, ive seen some people say it's not worth the money, because some strings are suppose to be at high tension to get its " full potential "?

someone get answer that with details. Thanks

Oh i forgot to mention, EXCLUDE BG65, because i want to try " something new " if you get what i mean
    XD but thanks anyhow blitzzards.

based on what you guys said, Zymax70/ VS850/ BG 85 ( if the guy has it )
Ill consider those. They seem to be really good strings, based on the forums feedback.

All of the sudden, i saw VS-800. high durability, 0.7mm. is it any good? Link, reviews. Thanks~

Then,i saw new strings from Victor?

    VS760-NS660-NS-880ZTi

Not really interested NS660-NS880zTI though, because it shows a slippery coating on the image...
"slippery..." i heard its harder to slice. I just started doing that, and i like it. So,for me, thats out of the option.

But the VS760,... its 0.7mm and the string looks like it has a grip. A review on VS-760 or any other of the strings, that would be nice?

Thanks for all the respond so far.

Okay, ive thought about it, i dont want new strings, its too much a hassle to pick. but,

I WANT TO LOSE TENSION ON MY RACKET. what do i do?
because victor rackets strings are kind of tight, right off the shelf. I mean, my racket had that " Thig " sound, when i tapped it with my nail. and still does. Sounded like a BG80 , just a little less sharp. but i want the strings to be bouncy.

If the tension is lower, does it have less shock?

    Those, are the last questions.

    thank you.

restrung rackets are usually only between 18-22lbs. so....

shock is due to a number of factor.

    1) racket flex. the stiffer your racket the more shock is transfer from your strings to your arm.
    2) feeling of the string. the harder the feeling, the harder the feeling of the impact.
    3) tension.

    i dont know about that...
My victor racket feels pretty tight.. it feels tighter than my 23lbs.

And I was thinking of lowering the tension, so that the strings would absorb most of the impact, instead of the frame. Like if it were a butterfly catcher. and then it would release the it all in one shot like a slingshot.

    Thats my theory, anyhow.

    Correct me if im wrong.

oh and i forgot to mention, in this situation,

It would be as if , i were choosing in between which elastic ( strings ) is better for my sling shot ( racket ). For it to absorb and to release the impact.

Thats why i asked, which string is the more IDEAL for low tension.

mmmm but you are already clearing it out... so why do you want a sling shot racket?

maybe a soft or medium feeling string is better for you? but thats all down to taste.

currently, I prefer ngb98 and vs850. both are suppose to be medium feeling, but vs850 gives far more feeback.

Personally I would recommend going higher tension if you want better feel, accuracy and faster repulsiveness. But bg70 pro is not bad once you adjust to it.

    Thanks for the recommendations!

@ssgg007, i clear it out with my other racket.
i just bought a new racket, and im not clearing it out with it... ( VS-31 strings )
and i wanted to try something new(strings). so yeah... didnt want to go with BG-80
Because i didnt see any "BIG" Difference. I expected something else
And the performance in smash didnt really improve, for me. when using Bg-80.
at first, tight nets. Poor clears.
After, netshots not so tight, but the clears are too far...

Btw, for the slingshot racket thing.
you could probably guess it out. If its not for the clears... its probably for the smashes XD
