The SP version of the SHB-65FT similar to the JP version available in both the signature orange and in white. Quality looks and feel similar to the previous SHB-85. If you want slightly better SP quality, wait for the shiny SHB-86LTD which should be in within this quarter or so. Otherwise for me, its JP SHB-65FT anytime . Arrived last week during the Malaysian Open and available now in Singapore. Check your local stores.
SGD199.90 huh~ Assume the RRP here will be RM499.90 or RM449.90 Another special edition of this SHB-65FT will be released somewhere during Olympic I guess. The Orange color replaced by Gold. Hope this SP version will reach my store soon =) (possibly after CNY i think)
I want this shoe so badly.... I have delayed to buy new shoes, just waiting for this one....Hope it will reach local stores soon...
My same reaction as you with this price. I can get the JP version from Japan including shipping lower than this price. No brainer for me here.. better quality at a lower price.
you mean the 86EX or 65FT? as for the JP coded 65FT, it has the 'wave pattern' at the front portion of the insole. 【http://www.yonex.co.jp/65ft/feature/03.html】 If this is what you meant by non-slip curved design. I doubt they will have it in the SP coded 86EX.
Received my pair of SHB-86EX today from Yonex and I have to say I really like this shoe. I use to love wearing the SHB 92MX but they would get destroyed to fast so I switched to the 102 LTD. The 86EX though fits great, it is very light weight and hugs the foot in a way that makes moving ever so natural, fluent and quick. I really like these shoes and hope that they are durable, will find out in the next month or two if they are. The orange does look good too. Great shoe and I look forward to wearing them, I think I will ask for another 2 pairs that's how great of a shoe it is.
I think you need to rephrase your sentence? SHB-86EX 'IS' the SP version of SHB-65FT (or perhaps EX coded or whats so ever, as told by demolidor)
Yes if there was a SP version they would probably call it SUNR-something as well like the bags and even stranger names for the clothing . And RRP of SGD $200 for a SP/SUNR shoe would be kinda much wouldn't it? It is the same RRP for this model in Denmark ... (and that already includes 25% sales tax/VAT!) Normal name is EX but if there is also a ladies version like for SHB92 then it becomes MX for men and LX for the ladies version. Strangely enough the ladies version never seem to be released in JP version .
I think the older versions (just saw JP 92L ). Don't recall seeing the Japanese ladies using versions like 101LX or 91LX, but I now see 102L(X ) is also not available in JP.
But I don't have any catalogue pics here so have to double check later (100LX also, 99LX -> http://www.bbesports.com/yonex/images/shoes/shb-99low.jpg, 89LX, 90LX?). And I just saw SHB-99 Low SP which was never available in EX version and Kwun had SHB80WSP (also not available in EX) so there are or were a few officially "SP" versions not from the Ultima or World Champ series but have SP in the name.
Most of the items are made in China bro... (including most high end products, but with much more stringent quality control & assurance I guess) Only a very minimal products were made in Japan...
@kkwm83 Are you saying that some YY JP products produced in CHina & then ship it back to Japan for Japan Market? So, people who want to buy YY JP products need to have those imported from Japan?
