or maximum 18lbs only throught out (main and cross)

since it is an oval shape racket head too what should I string it to? Any help/advise please

    Thanks

oval racket usually have small head shape and should be strung slightly lower.

it would be more helpful if you let us know what brand/model you have.

    Hi Kwun

    Thanks
The racket is a Fischer All Court Titanium

I thought usually the main is slightly lower than the cross

that is why I ask since I am not familiar with oval shape restring

By the way, Herefordshire have their own junior county team now and had seen a few junior players in tournament recently
Hopefully Malvern will either falls into either Herefordshire or Worcestershire
Apparently they train at Hereford Cathedral School's sports hall

18lb should be a very safe tension (actually low) for modern graphite rackets. Personally, I think 18 (M) and 20 (C) is fine for club level player, or, you can even try 20x22. The key in stringing is the right pattern with acceptable workmanship. Whether it's oval or iso, usually is a minor factor.

    Hi

I am a little confuse beacuse I usually tension at main 24lbs and cross at 26lbs

    since this racket wrote 18/15lbs

my query is whether it should be main 18lbs and cross at 15lbs

    or is it

    main 15lbs and cross 18lbs

or it only can go up to maximum 18lbs

afaik, the majority of racket manufacturers will recommend a higher tension for the cross than the mains.

but i haven't seen a Fischer racket myself so i cannot say whether they are:

    - denoting the ordering differently, C/M instead of M/C, or
    - know something that other people don't and recommended higher main tension instead!

ps. thanks for letting me know about Malvern. i remember i used to play against some of the Worcester kids and they creamed us pretty badly..
