If you zoom in on the string performance rating meter, you will see that NBG99 has a "Control Rating" of 10/10, which is the same as the CBG100. It is mentioned where you got the info as a successor to the infamous BG88Ti. In fact NBG99 is categorised under a new "Control Based string" group, similar to how BG65 is under Durability and BG80 is under Hard Hitter It is priced similar to the NBG98 JP..

The series color is Green. It is a new category of YY's string. The current existing series are blue (repulsion), yellow (durability) and red (hitting sound)
From the ratings seems like it has 1 bar less than NBG98 for repulsion (Becomes 9) and 2 bars more to the max for control.
