So I have decided on the Yonex Arcsaber 10 as my new racket of choice.

I now have a few questions regarding somethings about this racket...

    1) What type of string should I get it strung with?
    2) What tension should I go for with for the racket? (intermediate player)
    3) What grip size? 2u or 3u?
    4) What colour and type of grip should I put on the red-colured racket?
    5) Where should I buy the racket? Any recomendations?(good prices, reliability, shipping)

    for intermediate level...........
    string: BG-65
    tension: 23-26
grip: how big is your hand? (personal feel)
color: red rackets go well with black or red grip. (i prefer black, less "bling bling")
place: dont live in canada sorry =(

uhhhhhhh first of all i forgot to correct your terminology............
the "U's" are how heavy the racket is. 2u is heavy 3u is lighter.
the "G's" specify the grip size. i use g4 with one layer of grip. i like my fingers almost touching my palms when holding the racket. g3-g5 is common.
as for how heavy you want it, depends on you. you singles or doubles? you offensive, deffensive?

o yea forgot to add this. g3>g4>g5

i suggest 3u BUT its really about preference. what i suggest might not be what YOU LIKE. can you test 3u and 2u from your friends or coach? its best if you can try it out yourself

I would buy from either tenniszon or court side sports. I use 23 lbs on mine for plastic (I know bad idea) and feather. I think it's zymax string. Good luck deciding

Thought I had it Figured Out...

After something recently cuaght my eye, I am know debating between the Arc Saber 10, and the voltric -80?

I play a combinations of singles and doubles.
I play an all around-game, (precision, drop, smash) (I want more power_
I want an all around racket?

    What suits me?

I would consider myself an intermediate player. I play in clubs, and also in tournaments.

I am looking also at the APACS Tantrum 300. Any suggestions?

Give your health a break: buy white overgrip, far less chemicals than coloured ones.

Playing VT80 in doubles, worse as an intermediate player, just forget it in defences; if need be, in baseline doubles play with quite a fast arm.

AS10 for intermediate players, you may make it if you're not late, otherwise just watch out your opponent returns on weak defences...

Apacs Tantrum 300 is a better idea.
What brands at good prices may you buy where you stay?

if you can find, I would go for the new red Zymax 67
or if you like Yonex, they have many different kind of strings, you could try BG80
BG65 is very standard and feels dull.

for tension, any where between 22-24, I don't recommend past 24 lbs

grip size is up to you, I prefer small grip
too big and you will lose control (you cannot feel the handle). too small you will lose power (as you cannot grip the racket properly)

colour? white, black, or another red

I am really looking into the Apacs Tantrum 300. Because it is a good racket at a good price. Is it good for both singles and doubles? Please let me know.

yeah, T300 is really a good racket for either doubles and singles. you have made a good choice and the price is also affordable.

I believe I am going to go 23lbs/26lbs for the tension.

I am orderign from the Apacs website and I have to get it strung with their string. Which is a good one, as I am not knowledgeable on any, and still trying to sift through the forms.

    Apacs Power Tech .66
    Apacs TI Spider .66
    Slayer 88
    Stern 9

    Which one?

    It's NOT decided yet :D

Arcsaber 10 is a good racket. My main racket for singles actually. Not that power of VT80, but very allround. 3U is kinda heavy enough It's already not the lightest racket if you're holding it in your hand. So I can't imagine how heavy 2U will be. I must be really really heavy. Except you're a tall and super strong man with many "raw" power left :p
