I was wonder should you used your racket right after stringing or wait for a few days? Or does it even matter?
I normally leave the freshly strung racket rest for a couple of hours before play, but I don't think it really matters at all.
I usually let my newly strung racquet to "rest" overnight before play. I tried playing using freshly strung racquets before, however for me, it often ended up as "freshly broken" strings.
i use it straight away btw u seen those re-string rackets in competition? i wonder do they let them rest a few hours or overnight before letting the players use?
If my racquets have strings in them, I use them, no matter how soon since they have been strung. If they don't feel right, I will put them back in my bag and grab a different one.
No. I guess during the stringing process there were uneven tensions across different strings. Leaving the racquet overnight will help to let the strings "even out". Just my two cents
My own stringing experiences tells me that rackets should be left for at least 30min - 60min to let the string tension kick in. There is a notable tension gained. And also personal experience tells me that using the racket on the very day you got strung has a higher chance of breakage.
i usually let the racket "settle" for a couple hours, or even overnight before i start playing it. Ive had a couple string break on me in the evening when i strung it at lunch, so if possible give the racket time to settle and flex to the new tension.
