I don't get it. The flex rating is 5/5 yet it is said to be a stiff racket. Can anyone clear my confusion?

I guess flex should read stiff it depends on how you look at it

yeah, 5/5 should be stiff but yonex rating are very confusing as both arc 10 and NS9900 was rated 5/5 on stiffness while in real life their quite far apart

Yonex rackets made in taiwan are always too heavy. I have used NS990 NS850, they are not the style of NanoSpeed series. Also, Arc009DX is of head heavy balance. A exception is Arc008, it's agile.

I want to know if the NR100 keeps the features of NanoRay series.

Sorry if this is slightly off topic, but could you please share your experiences with the NS990 and NR80? I'm heavily considering purchasing one of these two rackets and I'm having trouble deciding which one to buy.

I am an intermediate player coming from a NS800. I want the racket which has great swing speeds and manoeuvrability and with great repulsion. I am a wristy player who can generate a smash using a fast whipy arm. More details can be found here:

    Any help will be appreciated.

Hmmm.... having reviewed these pics, apparently, after Arc009DX, Yonex Taiwan also insert 6 continuous grommets in NR100. :D

Anyone tried this racquet? I have seen the Yonex 2012 Catalogue and it listed NR100 as repulsive NS9900. Reviews, please? :)

Hey, this racket looks pretty nice! Definitely beats the plain old NS100.

Um.... any reviews? Can someone compare this to NS9900? (Since Yonex's chart said NR100 is the same as NS9900 except more headlight)

Tried this out over the last couple nights....one night of feathers, one night of plastics.
My normal arsenal consists of a BS12, MXJJS and VT80PG.... this was a present from a family member who thought the paint color was rather cool and that I would appreciate it... being a bit of an equipment junkie, I was all too happy to give it a test run.
It's an interesting racket for sure. I would say it's reasonably stiff (sort of like an NS9000S), on dry swings, it does feel a bit heavier like I'd expect Taiwan made Yonex rackets to be, however it sure doesn't play like it. This racket was very quick, and I had one of my better defensive nights. The racket really responds well to proper wrist action.... some of the drives and smashes that came off this racket really surprised me. (in a good way) I did not have any noticeable timing issues.... just picked it up and enjoyed it. Will update with more thoughts when I play again on friday...
Oh yeah, this review was done with the factory strings (can't figure out what it is, but all i know is they're not my beloved ZM65s). I a moment of euphoric pleasure in cutting them last night, will restring tonight and see how this racket plays with some decent strings..... I already like it though, and I think I'm going to like it more as I play with it. Probably a keeper.
