Ok here's the deal guys. I have a tournament this Sunday at 3pm and wondered what to eat on breakfast and lunch on that day.
I'm not sure how big the meals should be or what they consist of so any help would be great.

    Thanks guys

lots and lots of pasta 1-2 days before, also meat fruits veges etc

that morning, complex carbs, eggs, some light protein

light lunch at noon, complex carbs, no fat

1 hr before game, one energy bar eg. powerbar

oh, and make sure you pass your poop that morning! makes you lighter

That is some pretty darn specific advice!
Also, if you are not one of those very disciplined athletes who is already on a perfect diet, then it's quite useful to eat very well in the week or two before the tournament. Avoid those Anglo-saxon habits of too much bread and beer and fatty food. A lower-calorie, high-vegetable diet will make you lean and mean (.... and will also ensure that you achieve visor's last point. ;) )

For a few hrs before, I find sweet potatoes/yam gives really accessible and lasting energy for a few hrs. Bagels are also good and low in fat.

Well it's nice that the tournament starts at 3pm! Then there is really time for eating and getting started in general.

I usually have to play matches at 10 in the morning... Not much time for even digesting the breakfast.
