I differ on that, removing the original grip means 8 grams off the weight of the racquet. If we are not particular about weight why do we need to specify the weight of the racquet

Normal physics dictate that changes in weight etc will affect playing characteristics, of course it is anotehr matter whetehr the player himself can detect such minute changes.
I do agree that there is no point polluting this thread, so we shall not debate on that.

Don't misunderstand me - the weight of the racket is very important. It's the adding and removing weight at the handle that has no impact on playing characteristics

(After all, all racket weights include the grip. So, if you get a 84g 295mm racket and remove the grip, all you do is reduce the handle's weight. While that will increase the BP, it also lowers the overall weight of the racket, and does absolutely nothing at all to change the racket's swing weight. It might only feel different because the grip is way thinner.)

Uhhhhh. Awesome. Mustn't drool over the keyboard.....hope I can afford 2 pairs though. They are great, but I am on a rather limited budget for the foreseeable future
SH8500 yellow aren't too bad-looking either. Can anyone here compare? Already asked in threads about those models, but no one seems have worn both or interested in answering.
PS: Had more time with the XP70s today. Review coming up soon.

The mm sizes should be the same. In the RKEP ebay-shop you can see the mm sizes easily, and Victor always declares them anyway. I think the only difference is that Victor's 45,5 fits me although I need 46 in Yonex...and generally speaking Victor shoes are a tad wider.

Can we rename this thread "RKEP Rackets" as we're no longer just discussing the Pro 6000/9000.

Hey Soulless, i wear 9.5 yonex shoes (102ltd, F1 ltd, SHB86). I currently use victor sh9000ace size 9.5 and i have to wear 2 pair of socks to fill them... In my opinion, victor shoes are a lilttle bit bigger so either take the same size or go 0.5 size smaller.

Hello all
I have been playing with two different colors of PRO9000 (blue , green) for 5 hours.
They have different racket head shapes.
Blue PRO9000 is rounder and Green PRO9000 is the usual isometric head shapes
Is there any difference in performance ? sweet spot ? power ?
(i assume the racket head is rounder due to different string tension pattern)

I received my 2 9000PRO rackets in October 2012 and yesterday I had a competition match and broke one of my rackets. So I emailed Eric to see if he could do something and it doesn't meet the 'compensation conditions' he said.
So it's weird that 6 months after I bought them it's already broken. I never hit it on the floor. I wanted to smash and without even hitting the shuttle the grip broke and the frame touched the floor. I only had the grip in my hands. The point before I already heared a sound and I thought it was the string but I didn't see anything so I continued playing and right after that it arrived.
Hereunder the pictures
The cracks in the head of the frame are when the frame hit the ground.
I'm sad because I love this racket. I also have the XP60 and XP70 and I prefer playing with this 9000PRO. I was planning to buy 3x 9000PRO again but Eric is not even bothering taking this seriously so I'm questioning myself...
