I know smeone who has facture of the 5th metacarpal (smallest finger), has no pain and can grip the racket OK. Has anyone else had this and kept playing or is it a case of waiting a few months for it to heal ??? I know everyone's different just wanted to see if anyone else had carried on playing
If you experience pain, it's best not to play until it is completely healed. And I don't think it will take a few months. I have fractured my right hand before and it took 5 weeks for it to heal completely
Update : saw the specailist this morning and he said although someone with an untrained eye may think it's a break the mark on xray is more likely a growing mark, as his skeleton is still growing. Said he'll be fine in a few days !! Phew
