We are thinking of renovating our badminton hall which as 2 wooden courts. The current color is greyish blue which is fading.

Could you please suggest the shades to be used on the wall so that there is clear visibility of the shuttle with minimum strain on the eyes?

Any pointers / suggestions will be very helpful.

    Thank you.

Forest green is usually the best colour for this purpose. It's soothing and white shuttles are easily visible against it. That's why you'll see that this is the most common colour used for dedicated badminton halls

green is so boring though. i am so sick of seeing gyms with green walls. spending most of my life in badminton i am sure the greenness has already caused significant damage to my cone cells.

Not white , as you will lose the sight of the shuttle in midair . I think a light blue color is appropiate ,

Lolz :). It's still better IMO than some places I've played in with orange, turquoise blue, or deep purple walls. :p

Just go to the paint shop n choose a color that is soothing to the eyes but not too dark. If it is too dark u are going to need even more lighting.

Though I would have preferred a lighter shade, we ended up with this

Awesome, just the right shade of not too light but it might diminish lighting a bit. Next repaint, darken the lower blue just a bit. Just my 2c
