RSL 2012 EVO rackets applied a WPS tec
which allow you to adjust the racket
    frame weight and balance point
(using the tool sets included in the racket)

    WPS
    : Weight Positioning System
WPS plated and WPS End Plates alter the racket's weight at different positions

which changes the balance, the stability, the power, the control and the feel of the racket.

This EVO rackets come with 3 model rackets:
    VR1: 80g frame --- could adjust to 79--86g
    6.5-7.5mm taper shaft
    VR2: 83g frame --- could adjust to 82--89g
    6.5-7.5mm taper shaft
    VR3: 83g frame --- could adjust to 79--86g
    7.0mm shaft

interesting... but nothing that we can't achieve ourselves already by using athletic tape on the frame and heavier/lighter grips on the handle

the part which i'm not interested is because the PLATE at frame can only install when change new the string. it because the PLATE is acting like grommet to the string.

    great idea!

even though this should not be specific to RSL. we can always do that to other rackets given we can find similar weight strips.

I thought this was a bit stupid at first, because for 6 bucks you can already buy lead tape and customise your racket as much as you like, but I do like the way that RSL has 'formalised' this customisation.

Having to add the side weights before stringing though is a huge pain in the arse. You can pretty much guarantee that the first stringing will be in the trash within hours of being strung.

I'd take advantage of Erics stringing service and specify what you think might work in terms of the weights, and order another packet of string while you're at it! :)

It is a very logical idea. If you use lead tape and it flies off and kills your opponent, who will be responsible? RSL will not take that kind of uncalculated risk. If it is held by the string, guaranteed no murder on court will happen. :D

i also wonder how the strips will react to having a couple hundreds pounds of force pulling on it. will it warp?

seems like aerodynamically not very ideal.

Kason already use a 'strip' type grommet system so I'd hazard to suggest it will be fine.

A better idea is weighted grommets and the placement at the 2 o'clock and 10 o'clock position. It will protect the racket during stringing and add weight at the same time. Kind of like the grommets strip.

    interesting
but they should make the shaft stiffer
if not, the shaft will be too flexy when the max head weight is on

At first inspection i thought this was unnecessary.

But i do like the idea of altering your racket as you improve so you dont outgrow the racket quite as fast.

Saying that though there is no way to customise the shaft.

Still kudos to RSL for thinking outside the box.

so.. we know that the end plate is rubbish as being displayed by apacs lurid and their butt cap

the only thing that makes me interested with this racket is the plates on the grommet area
but one thing that I would like to know: how about the aerodynamic factor? is it good enough? or the bulge hinders the aerodynamic factor?

I still think that the m11 serie from RSL is more interesting... But as other have said, you have to change strings to change the weights because they did not want to see the weights flying off and hitting people! (Though, I have already seen a racket flying through 3 courts during a tournament! - And it was my double's partner while he was playing singles...)

Does it work better compared to Apacs Lurid Power? I remember seeing that line had a similar setup.
