In my bag I have a selection of yonex supergrap in red, orange, yellow, lime, powder blue, dark blue. black and white. For some reason (It may just be a poor batch) the dark blue and black supergrap grips seem to wear out a lot faster than other colours, as in they wear down to the rougher underlayer after a few weeks rather than months.

Has anybody else noticed this or do they know if it's a generic fault or am I just imagining it?

my preference of colors are as follows from top to bottom :
    white (da best)
    grey (feels closest to white)
pink / powder blue / citrus green (quite good)
orange / yellow (feels slightly rough)
    red (feels a little powdery)
deep blue (have not tried but coz of the tone of the dye , i reckon its just slightly better than black)
black (no way i gonna use them , feels rubbery)

The order is purely be the feel it gives me , not by durability.
    Thanks :D

I've only used the black supergrap and it's a pretty comfortable feeling after some use, in the areas where it wears down, it feels kind of like felt. Mine is lasting quite a long time and only starting to show wear in the thumb areas

never tried supergraps, but maybe yonex is being evil since darker colors don't get dirty and therefore won't be changed as quickly, they make it wear out faster to make you buy more!

In my honest opinion, Evil Empire has shifted their orientation from generating money by selling quality badminton product to generating cash solely. It means that they did not get emotional about badminton stuff anymore, they just want to make profit & more of it... Therefore, we witnessed quality downhill, for example their supergrap wore out faster than the initial year they were introduced, & several people also said that current rackets are quite fragile as compared to the few old one..They were doing this, so that we buy that products much more frequent. Additionally, quality downhill relates to bigger profit margin since the cost is lesser which in accordance with their objective.

Your experience also exactly reflects mine with RKEP Elite G09's.

I only use black and white Super Grap, and agree that the white version is much better.
