[h=1][/h]I just start learning badminton and lovin it. One of the move I'm having problem is actually one of the basic one, to hit the shuttle high and far. I know I have this problem because when I try to aim for the rear line it doesn't go far enough and the result is a smash back against me. I know the problem isn't with my strength but the technique. So someone please help, and be as detail as you can. Thanks!
nice vid!! i always tell my students, that they should not try to hit the shuttle with a lot of strength/power, but to move the racket-head fast! it's about swing speed, not sheer power! that's a very important difference, though many beginners don't realize there's a differencs... swing speed is developed by underarm pronation, like shown in the above vid!
Try to imitate the move with a shuttle and in slow motion that is ... it takes ten, twenty seconds ... do this at home.
