I think I might be playing doubles this year but I will also play some singles. I think I am intermediate or "advanced" beginner"
btw. what does bp mean?

bp=balance point in mm... its a measure of head heaviness. you want more for singles and less for doubles, generally speaking
in that case, you can consider the 3u bs11 or 10... not the bs15 because its semi oval frame shape with smaller sweet spot
if you feel you have good arm strength, you can also consider the mx60 or mx70
meanwhile, save the vt80 for singles... it is excellent for that

Is it ok if I ask you why the BS11 over the BS12 and wouldn't the 3U just be heavier than the 4U VT80?
Also do you know if the BS11 is more or less stiff than the 4U VT80?Last edited by ioxyg3n520; 02-14-2012 at 01:34 AM.

heh... from bad experience with bs12 i suppose... for the life of me, i couldn't clear baseline to baseline with it. i could feel the shaft bend when i hit
.... somehow, flexy head light rackets and me don't get along
3u is heavier overall, but you have to consider the swing wt more... even though 3u bs11 is heavier in total than the 4u vt80, its swing wt is much less because of less head mass due to thinner frame design. hence, the 4u latter will still hit harder than the 3u former

Sorry I have been asking so many questions so far. But I hope this is my last ones ;D
1) Would the 4U BS11 lose that much power and such from the 3U BS11?
2) Would I like the BS11 much more if I wanted a lighter racket when smashing and manuevering compared to the VT80?
Thanks!!

bs series in 4u is definitely not recommended... not enough oomph for offensive play or even simple baseline to baseline clears.
you'll love a 3u bs11 for doubles, just the right balance for offense and defence... if you're strong you can even consider the mx60 or 70
btw, you can also post in the victor fan club thread here to ask for more advice from others on which victor racket would fit you best:

there are a lot of helpful posters there too with experience with sw, mx, and bs series

I'd still say the BS11

Its the only Bravesword that 'feels' head-heavy (even thought the BP is the same as the 10, the mid flex makes it feel head-heavier.)
If you're coming off a VT80, no Victor will have a similar feel because the Voltrics carry pretty much all their weight at 12 o'clock.

I have both a BraveSword and a VT80 at the moment, and I can't use the VT80, it's too head heavy for me... While as the BraveSword (LYD in my case) is still rather heavy for me (I'm a NS9900 user, so I come from head-light series) but I love it. It swings fast like a NS9900 but it's not exactly head-light either!!

BS11 3U is a very good racket, very fast and powerful. It is not as powerful as V80 4U but more manoeuvrable because of the balance point.
