mental preparation

    Hello seniors, it will be a first time for me to participate in a tournament which i really dont know who are my opponents and i never seen them play also. for mental preparation, what to think before and during the match (and maybe after a match), what to do if we're leading or we're losing? what would u suggest to reduce or to avoid nervous? pls drop ur precious experience below :)

    Preparation is a pretty personal thing, but I tend to loosen up with some music. A good 15mins before the match is on, I listen to some chill songs to drop tension. To be honest it also greatly depends on which match it is. First match is different from all the other ones to be honest.

    And as Footwork said, have fun :). Nothing destroys you more than forcing yourself.

    Don't get all tensed up! Enjoy yourself on court and don't get upset about mistakes you did.
