    Does it matter how u serve??? cuz my coach says 2 hold it up high ... drop it in front of u... n swing straight.. n do not move ur body... but i tend 2 move my body n swing on the side... so i was wondering ... wut is the ryte way to serve???

    Looks like you're referring to the deep singles serve. You normally want to hit this deep AND high, so I think it best to hit it out in front and slightly off to the racquet side. The idea of holding it up high is to give the bird some downward speed to better enable you to hit it deep (as opposed to the short doubles serve, where the bird is basically hit out of the hand). You have to keep part of both feet on the floor once you start the forward swing, but you can shift your weight from back foot to front foot as you swing forward.

    If you hit the serve from off to the side, it's harder to hit it high (harder, but not impossible).
