I used to have powerflo rackets when I started playing in the early 90s, I had the GR for a long time but it broke in the end, my brother had the BR which was nice too.

Just spoke to my dad at breakfast. Time really flies. He started playing late '70s and used the 3.7x througout the '80's. Early '90s he bought the Powerflo, still own that one, just checked and since it says Powerflow only I believe its the original model. It was my very first racket when I started playing in 1998 at the age of 9. He only used it for about a year in the beginning of the '90s before he got involved in an accident and was wheelchair-bound. In 1997 he started playing para-badminton (sitting and wheelchair disciplins) and reached the world top (top 6 world ranking) and was silver medallist at the European Para-badminton championships. Had an invitation to the Sydney paralympics but ticket costs were to high for him (accommodations and meals would have been free of charge). At that time he used Carlton Carbon Classic and Aerogear 900FX. From 2002 he hasn't attended major tournament and continued to play until two years ago with a friend and longtime para-badmintonpartner, always buying the same racket as me (Megaflex F4, Fireblade Elite). Now I own all of them since he is not able to play anymore (venue costs are to high for 2-4 players, so the badminton-branch of his para-sportclub was cut). Playing elswhere is no option since no club will except the high costs (because of their different net standards the part of the venue that we would have to rent equals the part that can fit three fields).

Back to the 3.7x, this is the one with the flat/oval shaft on the left:

The x67 string is good, for some reason it seems to perform best when it's factory strung when you buy a new racket but still feels good when using it as a replacement string.

What racket are you stringing with the x67?
The x67 black looks really good in some frames.

I'll be stringing my Flypower Tornado 900 with it. it's on a black babolat right now, planning to replace with another after it gets loose and dull. and am considering x67 since it is available on the shop where i use to buy badminton strings from.

It looks good, unfortunately flypower aren't available in UK so I've never been able to try those. The best looking rackets I have used the x67 black are the carlton vapour trail elite (gold) and the Ashaway xt900.

What is the model name? Is it still available in the market?

It's not available. You should be able to find rackets that perform considerably better without issue. My parents still have this beast lying around, and I remember them playing with the powerful rackets (orange?). My brother broke that one though (Didn't actually like it; vibrated a lot).

Here are some pics of probably my favourite racket of all - it's a Carlton Powerflo Plus from around 1989. It's pretty unique with it's one piece construction (all graphite including handle), very thin frame with plastic protector/grommet strip (see comparison shots next to VT60), and flattened aerodynamic shaft.

It's a bit battle scarred but I still use it and it performs very well I would like to replace some of the grommets but a) no-one seems to do white ones, and b) the top ones are fused into the strip along the top. It's currently strung at 20lb with Zymax 65 by myself.
