hey guys. At the moment i am using a yonex arcsaber10, and have been using this for a few years now.

I am looking for a second racket. Something that is stiff like arc10 (doesn't have to be as stiff, but not any stiffer), but lighter than the arc10, and a balance point that is anywhere but head light. oh and because this racket is to test out different types of racket, i would prefer any racket suggestions to be towards the budget end of the scale. something like the yonex voltric 7 would be about as much as i'd spend on this racket.

    Thanks for your help.

Not much of a budget option butI think the Voltric 70 might suit your needs. About the same stiffness as arc 10 and a bit head heavier. Nice racket in my opinion.

On the cheaper end, specification wise, the Victor Bravesword 9 or Victor Bravesword 12 might be good. But I've never used these before.

isn't the voltric 70 medium stiff, and heavier than the arc10?

hard to beat the VT7 at its price range there is the new VT 3 though but its also medium flex and VT9 is stiff but its quite heavy head. you should try the Victor Sw310 but not sure how easy it is to get it in adelaide

most rackets around your current budget is not worth replacing your arc 10 though.

why aren't my replies showing up? anyway...as i was saying this isn't a replacement. it's to try out a different type of racket. that is why i wanna go budget first.

Maybe OP should try APACS rackets. They are generally cheaper than Yonex or Victor. APACS also has a wide variety of head heaviness/stiffness of rackets.

As for "quick reply" not showing up "quickly"...it's probably a lag with the site or your computer.

Have a look at the arc 8dx. I know new they are expensive but if you take the time and look for a used one the price will be a lot cheaper!

Arc8dx should be a good choice to meet your requirement ,only the price is above your budget. Maybe you can try Fleet woven series or forza Kevlar series racket which is much cheaper compare to yonex.

Op, trust me, the stiffness ratings that Yonex posts on their website is sometimes completely whack. Especially the Arcsaber 10, its pretty soft for a "stiff" rating :p.

So yea, the Voltric 70 in my opinion feels very close in stiffness to the arc 10 but yes, it is a bit head heavier.

The Arcsaber 8DX is an extra stiff racket. Quite a different feel to it.

the arc8DX is definitely something i'm not considering. so if you guys reckon the arc10 is bordering a medium stiff racket, then would the VT7 be a good cheap choice? i thought about APACS as well. but again, when it comes to the stiffness ratings i dunno how it compared to the arc10

Yes, it is accurate. The weight will be within the printed range whether it is 2U, 3U or 4U. Yonex has excellent quality control.

The VT7 would be a fair deal then I guess, but from what I've read on the site, it only comes in 4U so keep that in mind if you use a 3U Arc10. If you can, try and test out the rackets you like. That's always the best way to see if you like it or not :p

mx 60 or 70 from victor would be a good choice... not as expensive as yonex

victor's mx series is excellent... fast, powerful, and great value

OHHH yeah the MX-70 is definitely what i'm looking for. given that the victor ratings are fairly similar to yonex ratings. the MX-70 is classed as stiff, is that about as stiff as the arc10? how much is the mx-70? and where can i buy it? i live in adelaide, australia so there aren't many places i can buy rackets.

arc 10 is even balanced while voltic series n head heavy

    u cant compare both

if u want head light, ti 10 n nanospeed 9900 is the best so far

or maybe u can try victor rackets...oso...bravesword series is oso extremely good

the arc10 is even balanced?? i definitely DON'T want head light. i want the balance to be more towards head heavy. but the important factor is the stiffness of the shaft and the lightness of the racket
