Here is a perfect drive my Candra Wijaya.

Frame 1: Preparing to lunge to the side, as you can see, left hand out to kepe him well balanced, racket up ready and his shoulders are open, meaning he can use them to rotate into the drive.
Frame 2: Racket still up ready, although raised a bit higher to get the angle for the drive. It is important not to plant your racket leg too early, this means you'll get a lack of power. Notice his left hand is still out to keep his weight proportioned.
Frame 3: The racket head is coming back now as he prepares for the drive. Notice his foot still hasn't planted, and thatit's just going down as the racket head comes back. Shoulders open up more as he puts his shoulder into it aswell.
Frame 4 : The main contact point. The foot is now placed firmly on the floor, and that his head is still facing the shuttle at all times.
Frame 5: Just after the contact point, notice, he is still balanced and from fame 3 to this frame, his shoulder has moved foward, generating power from there aswell as his wrist. Notice he is still watching the shuttle at all times.
Frame 6: The follow through. Weight on racket foot to push back off into normal position, racket comes across the body and just over the shin of the non-racket leg. Hnd is still out to propotion weight and to keep his balance as he returns to base. Note how close the shuttle is to the net.
Frame 7: Racket back up ready. The shot was so low, that is forced Lee to create the error.

    Hope this helps people.

Thanks a million, Matt ... very often there's gems of techniques described in the forum; the plus here is having illustration(s) and explained frame by frame which really helps in visualizing your description. This really should be copied to the Techniques section in badmintoncental.

    It rocks!
